Implementation of a “Port Licence Fee Melbourne”

From July 1st 2012, the Port of Melbourne will apply increased wharfage charges on all shipping lines in response to the PORT LICENCE FEE as passed into Law by the Victorian State Government on February 28th 2012. These new charges will cover both full, empty as well as units moving in transhipment through the Port of Melbourne.
Effective July 4th 2012, Hamburg Sud will therefore introduce a Port Licence Fee Melbourne.
The surcharge level will be :
AUD 31/20’ dry/reefer container
AUD 62/40’ dry/reefer container
This charge will apply uniformly across all Hamburg Sud services and on all cargo
loading, discharging or being transhipped in Melbourne.

Hamburg Sud office or representative.
